NEW Interactive Worksheets on Energy and Climate Change
WAME is pleased to share our latest publication "Exploring Energy Access and its Nexus" and complementary Interactive Worksheets to help facilitate teaching the SDGs during the homeschooling.
The first set of Interactive Worksheets focus on Climate Change and the link between SDG7 and SDG13. There are two worksheets available according to the age-group of the students: 10-14 year olds and 14-16 year olds. The worksheets can be completed independently by the students at home or in school.
The publication introduces the concept of “sustainable development” and presents a brief historical evolution of international political agreements. It also examines the nexus between SDG 7: “Affordable and Clean Energy for All” and the other Global Goals. The topics covered include the link between energy and climate change mitigation and poverty alleviation and hunger, as well as how to ensure healthy lives, education and equality, and the path to sustainable economic growth and consumption. As such it highlights the importance of energy as a driver for global development, personal empowerment and economic growth.
