Positive conclusions at the India Access Summit held in mid-August

The India Energy Access Summit 2016 put focus on the opportunity of enhancing energy efficiency as a means to providing clean and affordable energy to approximately 240 million people in India who currently lack access to electricity. It showcased positive examples of adoption, it documented the possible achievements and pointed to recent signals from the Indian government in support for energy efficiency. It also provided a forum for discussion on key steps required to create an attractive and prosperous environment for private sector financing to invest in the sector.
