According to the Electricity Regulatory Index for Africa 2022, Uganda, Egypt, Senegal, Ghana, and Kenya have demonstrated exemplary regulatory frameworks. Uganda's performance stood out, ranking first in the ERI Survey from 2018 to 2022. As a captivating case study, we will explore the regulatory policies that contributed to Uganda's success in fast-tracking electricity access.
ASR will host a talk on "Powering Progress: The Role of Regulation in Fast-tracking Electricity Access" and will welcome ENG. Ziria Tibalwa Waako, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA), esteemed guest expert for this talk.
