The Earth Prize is a global $200,000 environmental sustainability competition for students between the ages of 13 and 19 which will reward the teams whose projects have the most potential to address environmental issues.

Through The Earth Prize, students are challenged, mentored, and inspired to effect real change by designing their own environmental sustainability projects, products, organizations or enterprises.

1. Registration Phase
1st Sept. 2022 - 30th Nov. 2022

Students and teachers are required to register individually for The Earth Prize using the online platform. This will give them access to online learning materials, mentoring by university students and instructions on how to start working on their idea.

2. Submissions Phase
1st Dec. 2022 - 31st Jan. 2023

Teams will start working on their ideas with the guidance of The Earth Prize Mentors. They will then submit their Fresh Idea describing their chosen solution, which could be a new idea with implementation potential or an already existing project, with local, national or global reach.

3. The Earth Prize Scholars Announcement
13th Feb. 2023

Fresh Ideas which reach outstanding standards will be recognized with The Earth Prize Scholars distinction and a special certificate. The Earth Prize Adjudicating Panel will select the top 10 teams from the pool of Scholars who will then be invited to the Finalists Phase.

4. Finalists Phase
27th Feb. - 27th Mar. 2023

In the Finalists Phase, the top 10 teams will continue to have the support of The Earth Prize Mentors and an assigned Earth Prize Ambassador to complete their Final Idea. Each team will present their idea to the Adjudicating Panel, which will then review all Final Ideas and select The Earth Prize Winner and Runners-up.
