Africa-EU Energy Partnership (AEEP) Online Forum

05.08.2022

The Africa-EU Energy Partnership (AEEP) Forum, taking place online on 7 September 2022, is now open for participant registration.
Africa and Europe have built an impactful partnership on energy in the last 15 years and continue to work closely together to realise access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all. To Advance the Green Gateway Between Africa and Europe, the AEEP is holding its Forum on 7 September 2022 to discuss how to converge bicontinental energy ambitions through COP27 and beyond. Realising SDG 7 requires concerted efforts across the broadest possible range of stakeholders and alignment of shared priorities and ambitions on a wide scale.

The AEEP Forum will enable you to engage on key questions on how to realise a future African energy system that will allow human prosperity and well-being. This half-day event will offer you the opportunity to discuss alignment and convergence between Agenda 2063, the Paris Agreement and the Africa-EU Green Energy Initiative, and ways to link regional infrastructure under the Continental Power System Masterplan (CMP) and the African Single Electricity Market (AfSEM).
