Scholarships open for Education for Sustainable Energy Development (ESED)

With the aim of supporting developing countries in building local expertise, The Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership (GSEP) will allocate a share of this year's scholarships to applicants pursuing studies in universities based in developing countries.

Since the inception of the program in 2001, GSEP has supported 146 exceptional scholars from 38 countries. Our one-of-a-kind scholarship program fosters the next generation of energy, climate, and electricity sector specialists who will be prepared to tackle the challenges of the future. All scholarship recipients will also be invited to join our Young Ambassadors for Global Electrification program

Outstanding students from developing countries undertaking full time master studies in a field related to electrification and sustainable energy development, such as zero-carbon energy, smart grids, electric transportation, energy storage, advanced electricity technologies, public policy, economics, law, and political science, are invited to apply for the ESED scholarships of a maximum value of 10,000 USD per year of study.
