Webinar: Key findings of the Energy Safety Nets report series

Sustainable Energy for All  and partners will present the key findings of the Energy Safety Net report series on Thursday, 5 March, at 9:00am ET / 3:00pm CET / 7:30pm IST. This webinar will last for one hour.

With Energy Safety Nets: Using Social Assistance Mechanisms To Close Affordability Gaps For The Poor and an accompanying Guide for Policymakers, Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) and partners Overseas Development Institute (ODI) and the Catholic Agency For Overseas Development (CAFOD) have developed first-of-its-kind research to inform best practices at the intersection of energy policy and social protection to protect very poor, vulnerable, and marginalized people.

These reports build on six country case from Brazil, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, and Mexico to distill critical lessons learned from experiences with Energy Safety Nets and identify targeted solutions to close energy access affordability gaps for individuals and families who need the most support. This work is an important first step in building an understanding of how to best-design ESNs to improve people’s livelihoods.
