Power for All launches Platform for Energy Access Knowledge (PAEK) on DRE

23.08.2018

The newly launched PEAK platform integrates a select portfolio of open-access applications that together facilitate the processing, sorting and cataloguing of relevant publicly-available reports and data related to Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE), to make synthesis easier for a broad user audience.

For instance, a DRE practitioner can use PEAK’s geospatial visualization tool to estimate the population they can service. A researcher can use PEAK to access, organize and annotate relevant documents for a project. An advocacy group can use PEAK to work on charts for a presentation by using the DRE-specific datasets and instant data visualization available on PEAK. The advocacy group can also work collectively on a literature review for a report using PEAK, which allows members in a working group to annotate documents together. Additionally, the practitioner, researcher and advocacy group can import new and relevant data onto PEAK to ensure that, as the sector expands, so does our access to the information available.
