Abstract
The specific objective is to test and validate, across 25 villages, small scale electrification schemes, respecting the regulations in force, involving local people and institutions, and implementing innovative credit schemes and public - private partnerships, while respecting the environment. The overall project objective is firstly to improve the socioeconomic conditions of rural populations in the region of Brakna allowing them access to market services made possible by electrification and secondly to develop models for large scale replication as well as enhancing competence of the various stakeholders and local actors involved in these issues.
