Webinar: Joy Clancy: Have We Got The Measure of Gender and Energy?

The Energy Geographies Research Group is hosting a webinar with Joy Clancy on women and energy. Gender within the energy transition has been a subject of increasing interest for social science researchers which is throwing up new issues and topics for debate that reflect directly on what we study, who decides what is studied and how we study the phenomena of interest. The points raised are also pertinent for how SDG7 is tracked which presents data at the level of disaggregation of female- and male-headed households. Joy's presentation draws on a recently published book on gender and energy for which they were a co-editor.
