Florence School of Regulation Topic of the Month: Energy Transition in Island Nations

20.06.2018

The world energy transition is happening, and it is sustainable! The developed world is changing old infrastructures to state-of-the-art ones; while the developing world is leapfrogging and transitioning to modern infrastructure from the get-go. In this big picture, where do the island nations stand on the road to sustainable energy transition?

This is the topic of the month at the FSR - please take a look at the various posts:

In the first week they highlight the particularities of energy transition in the context of these Islands.

In the second week they look into their electrification challenges, focusing on two Islands to which this applies – Madagascar and Comoros
